Loved the resort and it's location is amazing. Loved the view of dzong from my room. The service was good. No TV in the room, but I did not miss it as there was so much to explore. Very quiet and serene place. All the staff members were so cordial, full marks for the hospitality. I liked the taste of the food.

With a very convenient location in the town center and with a back drop of mountains, Hotel Druk gives a perfect balance between commutability around town and picturesque location.
Large spacious rooms. The Staff was very warm and welcoming, ready to assist with any request.
They had readily assisted in changing my room to a one with a good view (subject availability off course).
I will surely go back and suggest my friends this place.

Buddha Dordenma statue is a gigantic Shakyamuni Buddha statue in the mountains of Bhutan celebrating the 60th anniversary of fourth king Jigme Singye Wangchuck. The statue houses over one hundred thousand smaller Buddha statues, each of which, like the Great Buddha Dordenma itself, are made of bronze and gilded in gold. The Great Buddha Dordenma is sited amidst the ruins of Kuensel Phodrang, the palace of Sherab Wangchuk, the thirteenth Druk Desi, overlooking the southern approach to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.

Mebar Tsho is considered a sacred site in Bhutanese Buddhism. According to legend, the lake is associated with the famous saint Pema Lingpa, who is said to have discovered religious treasures hidden in its depths.

Pema Lingpa, a revered Bhutanese saint and treasure revealer, is believed to have jumped into the lake in the 15th century holding a burning lamp and emerged with religious treasures and a scroll. This event is commemorated in the annual Tsechu (religious festival) held in Bumthang.

Soaring with Silver Clouds: A Bhutanese Family Adventure Above the Clouds during end of December (Year End 2023).

Our family vacation to Paro, Bhutan, wasn't just about breathtaking landscapes; it was about finding a home away from home, and Silver Cloud became exactly that.

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warmth of Bhutanese hospitality. The staff, led by the ever-gracious Mr. Karma, greeted us with genuine smiles that outshone even the Himalayan sun. I felt like meeting a friend after a long wait. The attentiveness wasn't just professional; it was personal, like welcoming family guests.

Speaking of family, the hotel itself felt like a cosy mountain lodge, perfect for snuggling up after a day's adventures. Our comfortable rooms, adorned with traditional Bhutanese touches, boasted breathtaking views of the Paro Valley and mountain. Each morning, we'd wake up to the symphony of prayer flags whispering in the breeze and the distant call of dzongs echoing through the mountains.

But Silver Cloud's magic transcends the physical. Mr. Karma became our Bhutanese guru. He went beyond being a hotel owner; he was a walking encyclopedia of local knowledge, a tireless facilitator of our dreams. He even organized our complete 8-day Bhutan trip, which included car rentals, a guide, hotel booking in different locations etc. We have not faced any challenges during our trip. In a single word, our Bhutan trip would be incomplete without his extraordinary support.
Every evening, under a canopy of stars, Mr. Karma gathered us around a crackling bonfire. In those moments, amidst the crackling flames and twinkling stars, we felt a deep connection to this magical land, woven by the threads of Silver Cloud's hospitality.
Leaving Silver Cloud felt like saying goodbye to dear friends. We weren't just tourists anymore; we were part of the Bhutanese tapestry, forever woven into the memories of this special place. If you're looking for an adventure that goes beyond sightseeing, where the soul truly soars with the clouds, then look no further than the Silver Cloud Hotel. It's not just a place to stay; it's a gateway to the heart of Bhutan, where warmth and wonder await at every turn.
So, would I recommend Silver Cloud? With a resounding "Tashi Delek" (Bhutanese for "good luck"), a thousand times yes! It's not just a hotel; it's an experience that will stay with you long after you've left the clouds behind. Some good memories (pictures) are attached.

P. S. Don't forget to discuss with Mr. Karma, your Bhutan trip plan to obtain genuine guidance, And a Bhutanese traditional Hot Stone Bath is a must during your trip.

It was such a joy being with Charisma Bhutan Tours and Travels. They take care of everything. They handled our visas and passports getting us across the boarder. It was easy and stress free. Their guides are very knowledgeable, they taught us the culture and history of the different places of interest. They partner with Hotel Lhayul, which is a very comfortable hotel. The owner and staff are accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend booking with Charisma.

The hotel in Gedu is the stop over for travellers to Phuntsholing. You get all meat items, rice, noodles, rotis, fast foods like samosa, momos etc. Good parking space and fuel station right next to the restaurant. Food taste is ok.

The high mountains and deep gorges of Bhutan make them ideal locations for suspension bridges. The Punakha Suspension Bridge, always adorned with colorful prayer flags, serves as a perfect illustration of this geographical feature.

Connecting Punakha Dzong to the villages of Shengana, Samdingkha, and Wangkha across the Tsang Chu River (also known as Po Chu), this bridge stands out as one of the longest suspension bridges in Bhutan. Despite its considerable length of approximately 520 feet, the bridge surprisingly maintains a high level of stability. From the bridge, one can enjoy a breathtaking view of the river and the surrounding valley. The east bank of the river serves as an excellent starting point for embarking on multi-day treks into the nearby mountains.
